Winged eyeliner, or “cat-eyes,” became popular in the 1960s and continues to be a statement look for dramatic eye makeup.

To create a cat-eye, start at the outside corner and bring the liner in across the top lashline to the middle. Next, paint from the inner corner of the eye to connect the lines. Perfect the line, if needed, ensuring it gradually thickens towards the outside.
