Game Changer
The right foundation can work like a magic wand, can’t it? A quick swipe here, there, or everywhere can instantly minimise skin issues to show off clear, radiant skin. But how you wave the wand is equally important. While there are a lot of complicated contouring, highlighting, and foundation how-to videos out there that look more like you’re creating modern art than flawless skin, applying foundation doesn’t have to be all that tricky or time-consuming.
Enter: #ChubbyDoodles, a suite of speedy, genius foundation application techniques, demonstrated with Chubby In the Nude, a new cream stick foundation that has the flexibility to build from sheer to moderate coverage. (We love how portable and mess-free it is, too).
Each #ChubbyDoodle is the easiest, quickest way to get the job done, whether you want to cover up a blemish, highlight your features, or get natural-looking coverage all over. Doodle, blend, and you’re good to go.
To brighten and lift your eyes: Curious Kitty
To brighten your eye area and create a more lifted, energised appearance, draw three “whiskers” on both sides of your face. For maximum effect, make sure the top whisker is along the top of your cheekbone, and blend all three whiskers upward and toward your temples. Fill in a cute little cat nose. Blend well with fingers.
For sheer, all-over coverage: Tick Tock
For sheer (light to moderate) all-over coverage, apply your foundation stick in dashes at the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions. Blend well. Dab a little more as needed to increase opacity. (FYI, Chubby In The Nude is long-wearing, too.)
For flawless, full coverage: Flower Power
Need more coverage all over? Doodle a flower on your forehead, the apples of your cheeks, and your chin. Use your fingers to blend well.
To cover a blemish: Pirate Map
Got a pimple (or two)? Then X marks the spot(s). Draw one over your blemish, and make a dashed line across your face. Distributing the foundation—and its skin-perfecting effects—works to camouflage the acne instead of drawing attention to the bump.
To highlight your features: Splish Splash or Twinkle Twinkle
Bring out your best features with a foundation that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Doodle the centre of your forehead, the tops of your cheekbones, and the outer corners of your eyes. Blend well, and glow.
For contouring: Deer Me
Like a deer in highlights (but cuter…and with contour). For subtle contouring of your face shape, fill in your T-zone, add a little deer nose, and draw three small circles on the apples of your cheeks. Blend well. For a more dramatic contour, try a slightly deeper shade of foundation.
To define cheekbones: Shooting Star and Dollface
Want killer cheekbones? Use a foundation one shade deeper than your skin tone to enhance the natural contours of your face. Doodle along your cheekbones, then blend downward. See? Contouring doesn't have to be tricky at all.
